Angel Investor. Focus: B2B; B2C; SaaS. Dr. Oren Etzioni serves as Chief Executive Officer at Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence. He also serves as Venture Partner at Madrona Venture Group. He is Founder of Decide (acquired by eBay), Farecast (acquired by Microsoft), and Netbot (acquired by Excite). He chairs Madrona's Technology Advisory Board and is the Executive Director of AI2, the Allen Institute of Artificial Intelligence. Prior to helping launch AI2 in 2013, Dr. Etzioni was a Professor at the University of Washington's Department of Computer Science & Engineering for 22 years. He is the author of more than 100 academic papers on topics including Web search, data mining, agent technology, and various aspects of Artificial Intelligence. He was also the Chief Technology Officer and board member of Go2Net Inc. (acquired by InfoSpace) from [private phone].
