Jérôme Lecat

Angel Investor. Focus: B2B; B2C; SaaS. Mr. Jérôme Lecat serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Scality. In 1994, Mr. Lecat founded Internet-Way with Olivier Dauchot and Olivier Lemarié. As CEO, he built the company from a garage start-up to one of France's first and most successful ISPs. In 1997, he led the UUNET acquisition of the company bringing a 55% internal rate of return (IRR) to the investors. After reaching profitability, he served as vice president of products at UUNET EMEA. Since 1998, Lecat has been active as a business angel joining boards of venture capital (VC) backed companies. The companies include Data Center Technology, a backup appliance start-up; Dedigate, a profitable valued-added hosting company and Vision Objects, the world leader in handwriting recognition. As interim CEO, Lecat turned around Zencod and successfully merged the company with Net Secure Software now known as Net Secure One to build a leading French corporation in the web security market. Lecat holds a research diploma on artificial intelligence and graduated from Ingeneur National School des Ponts et Chauss'ees.
